Rufus is a utility that will allow you to reformat, create bootable drives such as flash drives, pen drives, memory sticks and many more.

This tool will enable users to create installation in a flash drive that comes from bootable ISO. A very fast tool with a small size that has only 993kb. Aside from that, rufus is an open-source tool and anyone can download for free.

Rufus is a tool that is a great help to all the users especially to computer technicians. Instead of having a script upon making a bootable or download any software in which it takes much of your time while downloading, rufus is a plug and play application. Once you are done downloading you just double click on it and then create a bootable drives.

Rufus system requirements:
Windows 7 (32bit/64bit)
Windows 10 (32bit/64bit)

Pros
• open-source tool
• small-sized application

Cons:
• cannot create multiple OS in one drive

Based on my own experience rufus is one of the fastest tool in creating a bootable flash drives, i've been using this for a couple of years because of its unique features. One thing rufus cannot support is to create multiple OS in one flash drive.

Pro:

  • easy to use
  • Free
  • Support multiple OS

Con:

  • can't think of any negative for rufus

Been using Rufus & UnetBootin for quite some time. Much easier compared to making bootable USB via Windows diskpart
