Recipe of the Day, Week No. 104: Irresistible Chin Chin .

Today, I want to participate in one of the amazing contest called Recipe of the week. I prepare and consumed the below snack 06 /04/2026 and capture them so as to share the game and procedure with my friend.

This week, I want to show you, how I prepare delicious sweet crispy chin chin for my daughter. This will serve as her lunch for the day.
Ingredients required
- Butter
- Eggs
- Sugar
- Floor
- Salt
- Vanilla flavor
- Rolling pin
- Baking powder
- Liquid milk
- Oil
- Bowl
Step -1
In my snacks preparation, I start with mixing all dry ingredients first.
In a clean dry bowl, I poured in two cups of flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, salt, I use few minutes and mixed everything well.
Step 2.
My step two comes with adding butter and running. I continue the process till it looks like breadcrumbs .
Step 3.
This steps comes with adding of all the wet ingredients. The first thing on the line was eggs. I mixed well and added liquid milk.
I mix it gently till soft smooth dough is formed. In preparation, it is advised that over kneading can make the chin chin to hard.
Step 4. Roll and Cut.
In this step, I cut the dough into smaller pieces, I poured floor on my working surface and roll dough to medium thickness.
I cut them to my desire shape and style.
Step 5: Fry.
Everything is set, now it is time for frying. I wash my pan and set on the cooker, I allow the pan heat up, then I poured in my oil and allow it to heat up.
Now, go in with my cut chin chin and fry it till light golden brown.
I removed and drain.Now my delicious chin chin is ready.
My daughter was extremely excited when enjoying her chin chin . I package and store the remaining in a tight container 🫙.
For an individual to have a beautiful and soft chin chin, it is advisable for the baker to use a high quality butter, this helps in enhancing good texture and flavour.
Secondly, we should not overworked our dough, we should just mixed until ingredients come together.

I want to use this medium and appreciate Steemit team for giving us different season learning challenge. The challenge help us to baked different things . At first, I didn't like baking at all but now baking is part of my activities in the kitchen. I will be updating on baking. Steemit made me a Baker and my family members appreciate that.

Growing up this use to be my favorite snacks, I remembered when my sister graduated from culinary school she would make chin chin for the house especially during festive periods or birthdays. It’s crazy to know that I was even craving chin chin when i stumbled at your post😭
