Yesterday I had Paniyaram for breakfast. Paniyaram is a South Indian breakfast dish which is also eaten as a snack. To make this, you need to soak rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds the day before and grind them in a wet grinder or mixie grinder until they form a dough. Then, let it ferment overnight.
In the morning, add the rice to a specially made tawa and cook it. Once one side is cooked, turn it over and cook the other side. This is a dish that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If desired, you can also add chopped onions and chilies to it and cook it. You can eat it with coconut chutney, mint chutney, sambar, etc. This is a healthy dish.
For lunch, I had made rice and sambar. I added lentils, snake guard, and potatoes to the sambar. The combination of these two foods was very suitable for lunch. Everyone was satisfied with this afternoon meal.
My son asked for snacks in the evening, so I bought a ready mix of groundnut flour and some spices from the shop to make snacks for him. I marinated it with onions, chilies, coriander, and curry leaves. We reheated the sambar we made yesterday afternoon for dinner and made paniyaram with it again. Dinner was also very tasty. The combination of sambar with paniyaram was good.
