Hello my dear steemit friends. How are you all? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. Alhamdulillah, I am also well with your prayers and love. I am here with a new post again, welcome to my new post, I hope you will like my post.Friends, today I am here to participate in the second week of the Steemit Learning Challenge Session 30.The main theme of the second week of Steemit Learning Challenge Session 30 is "Tradional Steam Cooking-Raagi Puttu(Steamed Finger Millet Cake)".Thank you, @jyoti-thelight ma'am, for bringing such a unique course with such a great learning challenge.To participate in this competition, I made Steamed Finger Millet Cake according to my dear mam's . so let's start........

✅List the steamed dishes made in your region. Which one is your favorite and why?
Many types of steamed food are available in different regions of Bangladesh. These steamed foods are very beneficial for our body because these foods are prepared while maintaining the nutritional qualities of the food.This steamed dish does not use any additional spices or oils, which makes it very beneficial for health.This steamed dish is prepared in large quantities, especially in winter, in every region of Bangladesh.This steamed dish varies from region to region.Below I am including a list of some regional steamed dishes from our region.:
Bhapa pitha:Which is one of the most popular winter cakes The ingredients used to make this pitha are rice flour, date molasses, coconut, etc.
Chitai pitha:Chitai pitha is suitable for eating in all seasons.This amazing Chitai Pitha is made by making a very thin mixture of Atap rice powder and coconut and steaming it in a tawa.
Momo:Momos are one of the most popular steamed dishes among the current generation.It is made by steaming a thin layer of dough with various fillings inside.
Vhapa Puli Pitha:This pitha is made by steaming a thick dough ball with various fillings inside.
Bibikhana pitha:Bivekhana Pitha is a traditional pitha, especially in rural areas of Bangladesh.To make this pitha, you need brown rice flour, fresh date molasses, coconut, etc.
Among my favorite steamed foods, my favorite is bhapa pitha.Because this pitha is filled with a mixture of coconut and jaggery, which makes the taste of this pitha even more incomparable.

Today I am making this amazing steamed dish with simple ingredients I have in my kitchen as part of this competition.Below is the recipe for making the steamed dish with the ingredients.
- Rice flour
- Salt
- Grated coconut
- Sugar
- Whole cardamom
Steamed Finger Millet Cake preparation method: |
- I put a pan on the stove and poured two cups of rice flour into it.Then, I put the rice powder on medium heat and roasted it until it turned a light brown color.
- Now that the rice flour is well fried, I put it in a bowl.Then, after it had cooled for some time, I made a mixture of salt to taste and ass needed water inside it.I have prepared the mixture as per the picture given above to make a perfect bhapa pitha powder.
- Now I put a pan on the stove, poured some water into it, and placed a strainer over the water.Then I placed a white cloth over the strainer and poured the previously prepared rice flour mixture over it.Then I wrapped the cloth well and covered the strainer with a lid.And steamed for 10 to 15 minutes.
- This time I took two to three whole cardamoms and ground the cardamoms well.Now, once the rice flour mixture is well steamed, I take it out and put it in a bowl and let it cool for some time.When it cooled, I sprinkled cardamom powder, sugar to taste, and grated coconut inside for a nice aroma.Now I have thoroughly mixed all the ingredients with the steamed rice flour.
- Finally, when the batter mixture was ready, I took the mixture in a bowl and shaped it into a round cake.Finally, my Steamed Finger Millet Cake made today is ready.
