What is your traditional dessert? Have you tried it?. |
There are many traditional sweets in our country because one of the favorites of Bengalis is sweets.Bengalis cannot imagine any auspicious event without sweets. There are different types of traditional sweets in different places, just like we also have some traditional sweets here such as rasgolla, langcha, kheer, rajbhog,Nolen Jaggery Payes, Chamchom, etc.Kheer is one of the traditional Bengali desserts.Kheer or Payes is considered an auspicious beginning of auspicious work because kheer or Payes is served immediately after hearing any auspicious work or good news.

Yes, I am usually always trying to learn or know something new, just like cooking is a hobby of mine.So whenever I have free time, I try to do something new.Similarly, I make different types of sweets at home at different times.I come from a Bengali family, so when I have events or when the whole family gets together, I make new recipes and feed them to everyone.Kheer is a traditional and popular sweet here.I make this Kheer Payesh during all auspicious occasions like weddings, birthdays, Eid pujas, etc.
Make any one of the recipes that you like most from traditional desserts, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images. |
Steemit Learning Challenge Session 27, Week 6, Respected @suboohi Ma'am's topic of preparation is making traditional desserts.I am making delicious kheer today according to all the instructions of my dear mam.Below I am sharing the step-by-step details along with the ingredients for making kheer:

| Ingredients | Quantity |
| liquid milk | 1 Liters |
| Chinigura Polar rice | 100 gm |
| Sugar | 1 cup |
| Grated coconut | half cup |
| Whole cardamom | 3 piece |
| Cashews, almonds, raisins | As needed |
Step - 01
- First, I took 100 grams of polao rice in a bowl and washed the rice thoroughly with clean water. Then I put a cup of water in it and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.Once the rice is thoroughly soaked, I strain the water through a sieve and grind the rice into powder in a blender.
Step - 02
- Then I put a pan on the stove, added 1 liters grams of liquid milk, boiled the milk well, and put three whole pieces of cardamom inside it.Then I boiled the milk thoroughly for five minutes.
Step - 03
- Then I added a cup of sugar to the milk and after boiling it for some time, I poured in the rice that had been ground into powder in a blender. Then I covered the rice with a lid and cooked it for 10 to 15 minutes until it was well cooked with the milk.I stirred it every now and then so that the rice didn't stick to the bottom.
Step - 04
- Finally, when the rice is cooked well and the amount of milk has reduced slightly and thickened, I add the grated coconut, grated almonds, cashews and raisins. Finally, today's delicious kheer is ready.
Finally, today's traditional and delicious kheer is ready.... |
- Finally, today's delicious and traditional kheer is ready. To decorate it beautifully, I placed it on a serving dish and decorated it beautifully with cashew nuts, raisins and chopped almonds. Finally, I wrote a note with the date the kheer was made and my username.

Do you face any difficulty during making this recipe. |
Today in this competition I made delicious kheer. And I didn't face any obstacles in making this kheer because I love cooking a lot. In my free time, I usually try to make new recipes.I have made this kheer many times before, especially on any occasion or birthday in our house and on Eid, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, I cook this payesh or kheer.Since I have made this kheer at home many times before, I have not had any obstacles or difficulties in making it even today.Basically, if we use the right amount of ingredients before making anything and try to make it beautifully step by step, then surely its output will be good and very tasty and beautiful. At the end of making this kheer, when I decorated it beautifully with raisins and cashews, it became even more tempting to look at.Using all the ingredients in the right quantities made it very beautiful and delicious to eat.
On what occasion do you want to make it. |
This delicious kheer is a must-have for any auspicious occasion like birthday, any social event like wedding, Annaprashan, Eid, the biggest religious festival of Muslims etc. This kheer is served as a dessert. In a few days, especially on December 23rd, it will be my younger sister's birthday. On that occasion, I want to make this delicious kheer again in a new way and feed it to her.He loves sweets very much, so I make this kheer and feed it to him whenever I have free time or when I come home from the hostel.
I also serve this kheer while entertaining guests. The mixture of milk and rice and the combination of all the ingredients makes a delicious kheer. Which is very wonderful to eat and it is a best dessert for entertaining guests.
