Homemade Tomato and Basil Ketchup

I hope everyone is doing fluently. Today, I want to share commodity veritably intriguing that I made for the first time at home — Herbal Tomato Basil Ketchup.

It started as a slight idea. My younger brother loves ketchup with everything — feasts, sandwiches, indeed paratha! So I allowed, why not form a healthy interpretation myself? That’s how my little kitchen experimentation twisted into a diversion and delicious success.

Fresh Basil Leaves 13 Leaves
Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 cup
Jaggery (گڑ) 75 grams
Salt To taste
Black Pepper To taste
Red Chilli Powder To taste
Cloves 2 piece
Cinnamon 1 small stick
Cooking Oil 2 tablespoons

Write the complete step-by-step method of making herbal basil tomato ketchup from washing to the final cooking.

1- Washing and Cutting
I started by bathing all the tomatoes and basil leaves duly. The smell of pristine basil formerly formed my kitchen feel stimulating. Then I cut the tomatoes into slim pieces.

2- Boiling the Tomatoes
I placed the diced tomatoes in a pot, adjoined half a mug of water, and allow them boil for about 8 minutes on equatorial flame. The tomatoes revolved soft and succulent.

3- Blending the Mixture
After chilling, I streamed them into a blender and made a fine library paste.

4- Filtering
I filtered the blend with a dusty sieve so that exclusively svelte tomato juice subsisted left.

5- Frying the Spices
In another pot, I hotted cooking oil and fried cinnamon and cloves for a few seconds to offer a affable aroma.

6- Mixing and Cooking
Further I appended the tomato juice, apple cider vinegar, salt, jaggery, and all the incenses. I similarly subjoined finely hashed basil leaves. I twisted it on equatorial flame while churning leisurely.

7- Thickening the Ketchup
After around 15 minutes, it startled to pick up chunky and the kitchen existed brimmed with the pristine aroma of basil and tomatoes.

8- Cooling and Storing
Once suited, I pivoted off the flame, leave it cold, strained it anew, and streamed it into a bowl.

Present your final homemade ketchup to make it look attractive and well-prepared. Also use your name tag and date written on a paper.

When it was prepared, I placed the ketchup in a small glass bowl and decorated it with basil leaves on top. I also put my name tag “@taaher1” and date “ 09 October 2025 ” beside it.

It looked glossy, red, and scented so good! My brother was the premier to taste it — he smiled and said, “ This is better than the market one! ”.
