A little moment of travel in Ifugao.

Ifugao is such an adventure, I can say. With only a day of our stay, we've seen the distinct sight and culture and also the way of living of the people in the highlands of Ifugao. They preserved our native culture.

First we passed through the province of Nueva Vizcaya before entering Ifugao. We rode a winding road as we drove by the lower towns of the province, from Hingyon then up to the higher town of Banaue. The bright and colorful crafted souvenirs welcomed us just right along the road where the arched concrete welcome sign of the town stands. There are colorful weaved scarfs, wood products, bracelets, basketries and printed clothes.
We were able to see some sights of Banaue. We also took scenic breaks. We pull over to take pictures of the sceneries and photographic spots. There are lots of photographic spots so I can not count how many times we've dropped by for a shot.

The cold weather touched our skins yet the warm hospitality of the people also welcomed us for our lodging and vacation stay, served us hot coffees and their delicious recipe meals. We stayed in Cool Breeze Lodge and Cafe for a night.

The temperature was cold unlike in lowlands were we came from. Hot coffee is good with the town's ambience. I swear the houses and buildings would rather need heater than aircon specially at night.
It's nice to feel the cold temperature, to take advantage of it knowing that I can only feel it for a brief time while I'm in Banaue, but still I can't help to miss the warmth of Quirino at times.
Being there feels like a dream where you are in a place you don't often feel its ambience. The cold temperature, the echoes of the rumbling waterfalls cascading down, the town in the lofty mountain where houses strives at the slopey grounds. It felt peaceful.

It was when we're going home when we bought souvenirs by their acquaintance along the road. There are more crafts that I haven't took a picture of. That's what I only have, so that's what I can only show. I whish I took a picture a lot, I liked the crafts.

More photo collection.
