I'm just now finding this, and feel like I should point out that doing stuff on bitshares to signup is NOT easier than SBD/STEEM transfer for the people that are actually sending you the money, for example me a person that thinks it's cool and I would probably do it but if I have to go so far out of my way to get on an exchange and deposit and do all these other shenanigans outside the platform I am very obviously already using that can already handle it then it's not worth the effort, you might consider this moving forward that more people would signup if you made it easier to signup, just sayin..
