Steemit - The Start Of An Entrepreneur's Road To Success - #1

Everything always starts with a thought. In my case, it was a simple "Life won't wait for you to make up your mind." This mindset is one that I think I share with a lot of entrepreneurs, if not most. It’s, in a way, the insight that everyone has the power to become whatever he or she wants to become. We all have it, not just some fortunate people who suddenly discover it.

The characteristic that is always prominent in entrepreneurs that succeed is not that they were born “geniuses” or with a special entrepreneurial talent, but that they dare to act on their ideas. They simply put all the negativity that usually comes from all directions aside and follow their own path. Look at it this way, how can anyone tell you that you are on the wrong path if you are the one who is creating it? It makes sense, right?

The intention of my presence here on Steemit is to share my entrepreneurial adventures with you folks and perhaps inspire some of you to go after your own dreams. As they say, the biggest failure is not failure itself, but to not try at all.

Starting From Scratch – The Initial Idea

From experience, I can tell you that pursuing an idea is a daunting task that involves many levels of hard work. For many, this is where their dream ends. May it be because they feel they lack all the skills needed to take their idea all the way to success. But remember this, if Richard Branson would have stopped pursuing his Virgin Atlantic dream because he couldn’t fly a plane, well guess what, Virgin would have never been.

No one knows everything from the start, it’s a fact. You ease yourself into it and learn the trade as you go. The only thing that should concern you is to always keep your dream alive, clear in your head and to keep up that fighting spirit, no matter what is thrown your way. This is how you will “win”.

So, what is my “initial idea” with Steemit? Well, first off, perhaps I should mention that I am not a new entrepreneur. I have founded a number of businesses in the past (failed and successful ones) and I am currently the CEO of four of them. Three are operating within the Internet sector and one is in the entertainment sector. I will talk more about each of these endeavours in my upcoming posts here on Steemit.

Now, as I have found myself mesmerized by the profitability of cryptocurrencies, Steemit seems to be one of the most creative platforms so far. It’s a different take on the cryptocurrency concept and I really like it. On top of that, I feel privileged to have been granted an account on this new platform and I am going to work hard to make the very most of it here.

My purpose on Steemit is to explore the financial possibilities as well as gathering information, knowledge and, of course, sharing my own thoughts, progress and also a few tips and tricks that I have learned throughout my journey to where I am today. This might help some of you ease your way into your role as an entrepreneur or widen your scope as an already established one.

Some of you are Steemit professionals and I intend to learn as much as I can from you. I, on the other hand, once again I find myself a beginner and I like it. I have always found the journey to success more rewarding than actually arriving there. So, this is my “starting from scratch” and it’s going to be a long, educational and fun journey that I hope I will get to share with a lot of you. Any tips you may want to share with me is greatly appreciated and I would be more than happy to receive them.

The First Step – Learning And Building

In order to fully comprehend the workings of Steemit, my first plan of action is to gather and learn as much about the platform as possible. As mentioned above, any tips or information that you can relay my way is greatly appreciated.

My intention is to dedicate time to post content on Steemit at least 3-4 times a week with updates and progress reports of my ventures and to answer questions, if you have any, to the best of my abilities.

The second stage of step 1 will be to build a mutual following. I have always found it important to feel equally as interested in the content that my followers share as well as they feel interested in the content that I share. The potential for success increases by a factor of three if a mutual connection is formed around the content that is shared. This has always been a priority of mine and I will continue on this path.

My hope is to start an in-depth conversation around the lifestyle and opportunities that present themselves as an entrepreneur. I also hope to discover new paths, ideas and ways that will benefit the spirit of any entrepreneur.
