This is a comment about your sonnet but for some reason I can't post it as a reply to the sonnet.
This is this first decent poem, that I've read on Steemit and it's a sonnet! I actually want to cry. It was beautiful and clearly from the heart. There were two, clear contrasting ideas; the rhythm was perfect and your turn was well timed. Keep writing for yourself and the few of us who found you.
There is so much mediocre and bad poetry on here that is upvoted, so never judge your poetry by the number of votes. (I just found you via your comment on one such poem. You seemed to like it, but personally I thought that someone who is making so much from their poetry, could at least make sure the meter is correct, like yours was.
