Yep there definitely are some legit resteem bots, the likelihood of getting many more votes for doing it are negligible from what I've seen so far, it's like the Twitter feed idiocy where they resteem so many posts that yours is kicked down the page and out of sight in a matter of a few minutes so did it really help? I don't reckon so
