Why On Impact
This community was constructed to support the principle intention of Philanthropy - in pursuit of this intention, the On Impact community will support initiatives toward human advancement.
The term philanthropy derives from the Greek "philos" for "loving" and "anthropis" for "human being" - focusing on love and improving the quality of human life. Here, we will define Philanthropy as "improving the human condition to save mankind from destruction" - borrowing from Jared Angaza's Natural Born Philanthropist.
What We Do
On Impact will be a community designed to curate media supporting meaningful engagement in global impact initiatives. At the highest level, this community will promote content in three general categories:
- The Environment
- Society & Culture
- Governance Frameworks
In an effort to cultivate meaningful dialogue and avoid the formation of echo chambers, individuals from varied perspectives are welcome in this community - including those who remain skeptical about environmental issues (Climate Change) and institutional issues (The United Nations).
This community will also promote content related to topics aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, listed below.
