Why not bot-owner association share the blacklist so that time spending research is saved? Moreover, association (e.g. collective bot owners) should take responsibility to flag these abusers. If some fund from the profit is used to fight spam, plagiarism and other kinds of abuse, bot owners will also earn some respect too.
I do share it, but most bots don't blacklist as spammers are very profitable and it is risky to blacklist them. I can vouch for that as I see my bot gets fewer bids per SP than other bots due to aggressive abuse prevention. I also personally validate every single user blacklisted.
