The problem was a fatal error in judgement when dealing with the determination of hackers! My neighborhood had quite a few gyms with little players which was nice for me till the hackers found it and dominated basically making the game pointless for me. Had they released this update then trading of ill gotten Pokémon would have drastically effected other users, in other words we had to wait for them to figure out how to remove all the hacked accounts prior to allowing trading. IMO it was a major failure on their part and has been a major financial upset and frustration for both google and Apple with many disputes over purchases in game as a result of banning legit accounts in the crossfire. I will not return because my account, completely legit, was banned and I have not recieved and correspondence from niantic on the subject.
