Liputan6.com, Beijing - Despite having left a dead mother four years ago, a baby was born in China recently.

The baby was born through the frozen embryo planting on the surrogate mother.

Quoted from the BBC on Thursday (12/4/2018), the parents of the baby has long died in traffic accidents in 2013.

Previously, the couple had frozen several embryos, in hopes of getting the child from the IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) process.
When an accident occurs, the embryo has been safely stored at a hospital in the city of Nanjing, frozen in a liquid nitrogen tank at a temperature of minus 196 degrees Celsius.
Post-accident, all parents of the couple 'fight' on the green table, fight for permission fertilization of the frozen embryo.

After getting permission, they encounter other problems that are not less complicated. Embryos can only be taken from Nanjing hospitals, if there is evidence that other hospitals will keep them.

However, given the legal uncertainty about embryonic fertilization, it makes it difficult for them to find other medical institutions in China willing to be involved.

Especially in China, the process of baby tube is still considered taboo - although there is no strict prohibition, making the only realistic option is done overseas.

Four years later, the embryo was successfully delivered through a surrogate mother's womb from Laos.

It took a tough struggle to make this happen, because no airline gave permission to carry a liquid nitrogen tube containing an embryo.

Finally it was decided to bring the frozen embryo to Laos, by road trip by car.

In Laos, the embryo was implanted into the surrogate mother's womb, hired by an official contract.
