If this is built on the steem blockchain why would i need to give you my email? Or anything, i should be able to login with my posting key. Sorry. Kind of sketches me out, in a metaphysical way.
Hey, I'm a social media manager who happens to be up at the moment =P so this may not be the technical answer you're looking for... but my answer to you is that we aren't a live platform yet. Our Token Sale kicks off on the 29th and we'll be developing through Q3/Q4. At the moment we are using emails to help you secure your usernames.
Like I said though, I'm just regular folk. I'll have someone on my dev team give you an answer that should cover the points you bring up. Thanks for asking, I'm sure a lot of others have similar questions.
