I think Steemit can revolutionize the field, but I personally don't believe Steemit itself will be capable of being the future. The future is currently being dominated by cat pictures, and pointless more statuses on Facebook. Not a lot of insight coming from there. Steemit will be like Reddit, a very tight nit community of thinking people with interests that concern our existential world and finances. That's something we haven't seen much going on with Facebook.
