Steemians Let's Help Mr. Olisakwe To Walk Again
As part of my monthly hospital visitation to see and help the sick with the little I have, I came across Mr. Olisakwe. A young man in his early 50s who has been pathetically disfigured by fire out-break caused by kerosene explosion and in the process lost two of his lovely children. Tears couldn't stop gushing out of his eyes as he tries to narrate how the whole event occurred.

Mr. Emmauel Olisakwe hails from Umunuko in Ukpor L. G. A of Anambra state, Nigeria and was formally an employee of the Nigeria Stock Exchange but lost his job after a major shake-up in the firm; In a bid to sustain his life and that of his family, Mr. Olisakwe became a commercial tricycle operator before the fire out-break that claimed his son, and a daughter, in December 26, 2012 and rendered him incapacitated.
[News paper carrying the incident]
He was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for treatment as supposed and after one year of treatments involving two surgery at the hospital he was discharged after a long toil of hassle to pay the N700,000 hospital bill through the help of good-hearted Nigerians, in 2013.
Thinking all is well, Mr. Olisakwe left the hospital believing he can walk again and perhaps in few months he might even start running but to his greatest surprise his condition took a turn for the worse overnight, leaving him completely paralysed, after the second surgery.
At this point his case has moved beyond what the Nigeria medical doctors can handle. He has been advised by his doctor to go to India for a major surgery due to the complications of his legs and limbs, if he so desire to walk again and this treatment will cost N7million naira about ($19460.00 US Dollar)He reports difficult in moving or twisting his waste, ankles and knees, the joints are stiffened, he can't twist nor move them.
[Newspaper with the appeal]
Seeing Mr. Olisakwe wasting year after year, with all his gifts and potentials broke my heart and aroused me to write about his condition and see if support can be birth from this awesome community. like his last son would often ask "Dad when would you start walking like other dads?"
That's a deep question to answer but I know somehow in my heart that the steemit community can make it happen
[Police report on the matter]
I am deeply touched and broken, but I can't do this all alone and that's why I'm appealing to all concerned steemians who understand the essence of giving to save a soul. Mr. Olisakwe deserves and desires our helping hands to enable him to walk again, no matter how little. The true essence of humanity is to be our brother's keeper, to support our selves, to be a good samaritan and be a shoulder your neighbor can cry upon when in distress.
As a friend of Mr. Olisakwe and a member of steemit community, I am humbly soliciting for your support to enable him to travel to India for this surgery, which is long over due, He was suppose to travel for the surgery since 2015 till now no serious help has been found and the little amount raised is been used for sustainable treatments while awaiting the completion of the estimated treatment fund of N7million naira.

Having been on steemit for quit some time, I believe that we can change any situation no matter how big it, if we realize the true potential of Steemit and it's ability to gather members from every part of the world and with just a couple of clicks help someone in need.

Let us use our powers to help Mr. Olisakwe who is in dear need of your help, he deserves and desires a leg to walk on and you and I can make it happen. He longs to get back on his feet and work like every other man, he does not want to end his career this way.
Mr. Olisakwe has shown great interest in becoming a member of the steemit community but lack the major tool like an android phone or a lap-top to kick start the journey. I have committed my second steemit earning to cater for that need since he has always been passionate about writing on stock exchange.
