Attention on Steemit is shortlived like a mayfly

I have taken a break from steemit for a week and there is little to no activity on my account.
The above water life of a mayfly is very short, just 24 hours.

The life of a post on steemit can go on for a long time, you can vote on one of the first posts but after 7 days there is a payout. I wonder if there is some statistic on the posts that are the longest lived?
