I know you have read it 100 times but find a topic you truly care about and start interacting(commenting) in those blog posts. People will appreciate and upvote(even if sometimes the upvotes are not worth much). I have made around 40 Steem just posting what makes me happy haha. The comments sometimes pay more than the blog posts too. I did invest a little bit though.
