Two Ways to Add Pictures to Your SteemIt Posts (two video tutorials)

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I referred a friend to Steemit, and she was lost on how to do pictures, so I created this training for her and others that need it.

Pictures obviously make your post more attractive, and get it noticed on any feed listing, as the thumbnail of the picture is shown to the left of the post.

Right below the "POST" button there is a preview of your post. To the right of that, there is a link that saas "Markdown Styling Guide"..

Using "Markdown" and finding a free non-copyrighted pictures to use

In this example, I found a picture on Wikipedia Commons. Do not use copyrighted pictures or royalty-free pictures unless you have licensed them or have the owners permission, as that could harm the reputation of SteemIt users.

Uploading a picture from your computer

Sometimes you have a picture or image on your PC that you want to upload. You can just drag and drop it in the post.

I didn't show it in the video, but there is a link that says "or by selecting them". When you click that, a file dialog box will appear, and you can navigate to the picture on your disk and select it.
