Help bring the Steemit revolution to german-speaking countries!

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

In an attempt to support the community to grow internationally, I'll start moving most of my blogging and podcasting stuff from different portals into Steemit.
Esp. to help fill the slowly but steadily growing German-speaking section with more and more quality content, even if it means to not get a lot of votes there so far.

Over the years I have specialized in philosophy and alternative relationships/polyamory due to developments in my personal life and an evergrowing "alternative-lifestyle culture" in Austria. In addition I am currently writing for an independent, self-published magazine called VISIONARIUM, the number one magazine focusing on high-quality horror, mystery, weird and dark fiction in German language, based in Graz (Austria). A wild mix of genres, the phrase "Absinth-Punk" got coined for. ;)
We had the honor of publishing never before translated short-stories and novels, as well as conducting interviews with award-winning, big names like Graham Masterton, Mike Carey, Liz Hand, David Farland, and Simon Strantzas to name a few.

So I guess, most of my content in the German section will focus on those topics in one way or the other. :)

From Berlin to Graz!

It's no secret that Berlin has become some kind of a hotspot over the years with a lot going on regarding Bitcoin. A nice report by @fabio about a great little event helping make Steemit know there, can be found here:

That's great, but there are many local communities of free-thinkers and supporters of liberty found around Central-European countries, esp. Germany, Austria and Switzerland that go by somehow unnoticed.
Still, all helping to grow the understanding for freedom, alternative movements and esp. cryptocurrencies. That being said, Vienna, the capital of Austria, once being great at harboring or bringing forth amazing thinkers, philosopher's, artists and libertarians for dozens and hundreds of years, like "the Austrians" Carl Menger and von Hayek, somehow started a downward spiral over the last decades regarding  personal freedom and seems to move into a new kind of narrow-minded "Biedermeier".

Since "revolutions" always start from those grass-root movements finding their own ways against all odds, Graz, the second biggest city in Austria, and where I'm living at the moment, has become the new melting pot for a wild variety of different subcultures and alternative movements that flourish and support each other.
While it might not sound like much, it says a lot about the Austrian mindset and culture that the first Bitcoin-ATM was opened in Graz and not in Vienna, by the locally based company Coinfinity.

Still, Steemit is vastly unknown here even in the crypto-scene and I hope I'll be able to add my share changing that drawing more and more attention here, one step at a time.

Would be great to meet and read a lot of you people over there in the next few months or get some support, even if German isn't your mother-tongue. Despite what people say, we're actually quite nice... :D #deutsch

Wo kann man überhaupt eine sortierte Liste der Trending-Artikeln sehen, die auf #deutsch sind? Also ähnlich wie auf der Steemit-Hauptseite, nur auf Deutsch?
