8. Steem Price Update
Very strange that @trevonjb is powering up. He was not very welcomed here and started to power down. What has changed?
Smart move @trevonjb all the STEEM you've been buying in the last couple days. That's gonna pay off huge for you. I've been buying the dip as well, although on a much smaller scale...

I'm glad to see that the "daily active user" numbers are staying steady, even through these rough times.
Yeah, the new users numbers are increasing by 30k per week. If everything goes in right direction we'll be having a million users subscribed in the Steemit platform by the end of April. I think that would be a milestone!
A milestone indeed, but remember, the most important numbers are the "active" users, so watching those rise will be key to the overall long-term success of Steemit going forward.

But I just saw that Andreas Antonopoulos posted his first post on Steemit which I just re-steemed ! And if he decides to make more posts or most importantly upload his talk in Dtube this will bring a lot more users and hopefully as you just said active ones!
We need a man like the Ant to come spread the word about Steemit, and I'm stoked to see how he goes about it into the future!

Hopefully, Market will recover after Feb 14th.
Steem Dollar could go all the way down to 1 dollar so expect that as a scenario. But this platform is still super awesome since you can connect with amazing people that brings tons of value! As long as users are growing Steemit will be worth something. Probably very undervalued now. And they have an awesome CEO with amazing future goals. I trust them!

To all the people who get into panic seeing Steem at 2.89$ just remember that 4 months ago it was just 0.89$ :))

We can see the increase of people joined thanks to Binance. around 15k new users, it will be the same amount of people in the next few days as they are getting accepted. ( I think )
It sure is nice to see a few charts that still show uptrends even if they're active users and such and not crypto prices lol. I'm gonna bury my head in the sand and not look at my portfolio for about six more weeks.
But seriously, we are seeing some solid growth here and that is a good thing regardless of what is happening in the crypto world. At least the DOW and S&P are getting a long overdue whipping as well.....makes me feel a little better just like the positive steemit stats.

Good to see the number of daily posts is recovering, but why do you think the number of votes has been declining given the larger user base?
