where do I start ,
My mind has been blown, not just with Steemit but everything that has to do with steem and the blockchain. I’ve been here since September 27 a little over three months now and I got to tell you I’m just as excited now as I was then.
I did not have any money to invest on steem but that’s ok I’ve made about $150 so far here just posting and talking to people meetings a lot of great people.
AND GETTING PAID FOR IT
Even if it’s pennies I very grateful for I didn’t get anything on those other platforms I dedicated my time to . But I did meet a lot of great people.
And now I’m organically morphing
1973 I was born in Mexico
1977 Crossed into U.S with my family(New Mexico)
1987 Moved to South Florida
1988- 1996. I was a piece of shit drug dealer /gangster/criminal
1996 My son was born got custody just like that changed my life , quit the gang and all the stupid shit and dedicated mysel to raising my kid
1996-2008 Work work work
2008 had car accident died on the scene, revived on the way to hospital doctors said will never walk again
2008-20015. Hospitals , intensive therapy, wheelchair, living in very poor drug and gang infested Neighborhood
2016 got my first iPhone went to App Store Downloaded social app called anchor and Wala I was on the Internet for the first time Lol
2016 My son goes away to college
2017 The app anchor version 1 was dismantled . I was told about STEEMIT
2018 I’m happy thankful and very grateful for what I have . And what I have decided is to :
go all in on decentralised
Be myself
Learn and grow

WE need to start our own discord channel and get all the voice loving people to get on and we can start planning the blockie-talkie app. Baby steps... we are all learning here and growing together. welcome to steemit, I think it's awesome that you changed your life around, I understand that life all to well, I mean I was no gangster, but I knew others who were and that life takes on a course of its own when we are younger Steemit is definitely an awesome platform for sure!
Thank you , for me it was holding my son for the first time and realizing that I was responsible for his life , wow , that “ I don’t give a fuk “ attitude was gone.
Funny thing is that I had such a rep that when I got in that car accident and ended up in a wheelchair in my old stomping ground, nobody messed with my kid because they knew who his dad was, lol
I truly believe everything happens For a reason
I have a friend who was in a car accident and he too was hell bent on living life how he saw fit, and he is now in a chair, he has definitely grown as an individual since the accident, you are definitely right about every thing happens for a reason, I am a firm believer in that!
Oh yeah, you can’t help but grow once you see how people take for granted those little things you once did, like walking , using the bathroom by yourself , or even being able to turn on your stomach.
My favorite part of the day every day is waking up
Unfortunately we do take many of the things we don't even think about for granted, but it sounds like you are a humble person because of it now. i hate that for you and all the others who have had to go through all that you have.
I feel you but if we believe that everything happens for a reason then we have to love it , even when things don’t go as planned , I really like how u think and glad to of met u @charisma777
