Jump Start Steemit Back To Life: I Offer My Suggestion.

After the introduction of Reputation Index, the atmosphere of Steemit world has drastically changed. It feels like watching a slow motion movie. Time freezes and everything slows down. New posts come in at a sluggish pace. Upvotings are few and tardy. Most posts get single digit upvotes after an hour or two. For those lucky few, upvotes may be there but the SBD values are not impressive at all! Where have all the freshly baked STEEMs from the blockchain gone? What really happened? Steemit is only few months old. Fatigue strikes?

What can we do to bring Steemit back to life and give happiness to all steemians?

A suggestion:

Give new incentives to contributing steemians!

(1) Who are considered contributing?

• Those who bring in new sign ups
• Those who bring in new investors
• Those who write quality posts regularly
• Those who submit quality comments
• Those who make regular upvotes

(2) Where would the STEEM money come from?

Presently, SBD distribution is authors 75% and curators 25%. My suggestion is:- authors get 70%, curator get 20% and remaining 10% goes to an incentive pool.

(3) How to distribute the incentives?

Use a point system.

Examples:
A point will be awarded to a steemian who can show proof that he brought in a number of new sign ups.
A point will also be given to a steemian who can show proof that he brought in new investors.
A point be given to a steemian who submitted a certain number of quality posts.
A point for a steemian who made certain numbers of comments with response from the author.
Lastly, a point for steemian who made regular upvoting over some period, consuming a daily amount not less than 20% of his voting power.

Those collect three points or more will receive a bonus SBD award in his next post. The size of the bonus will depend on the size of the incentive pool.

I believe a new incentive scheme will give Steemit a jab in the arm and bring it back to life.
