More Than 100 Days After Hurricane Maria and Puerto Rico is Still in Ruins. This is So Sad PR Needs Help NOW!!!

It's been more than 100 days since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and the residents there are still suffering. According to my family that lives there, most areas still have no clean water and no electricity.  That's around 1.5 million people struggling with limited resources, poor health-care services and the worsening of an already bad economy.  If this happened anywhere else teams would be deployed to help rebuild that place.  It seems sometimes we are good at rebuilding other countries infrastructure when it suits the government and politicians that walk the halls of Congress. The lack of media coverage here in the states really disgusts me and just shows lack of care from the higher-ups.

Enough is Enough and Puerto Rico needs help now. Congress and the President need to set aside funds and put a plan in motion for Puerto Rico to get back on its feet starting with proper healthcare and getting clean water and the electricity back up. Otherwise, a lot of Puerto Ricans will be heading to mainland wherein the future their vote will count.

All proceeds from this post will be sent to my family in Puerto Rico and given to the appropriate agencies who really help the Puerto Rican people. Sorry if I have a lack of trust for the red cross and other such disaster relief programs but they had 100 days to get it right already.  Thank you for your attention and God Bless.

We are somewhat spoiled in the US, with disaster recovery times being very short to get basic services up-and-running.

Hurricane struck the island after I was going to move there about 4 month prior to the disaster.
I may still move there this coming winter 2019 to escape the cold. Have you been there?
