Djing sounds mad fun. I know dj's around here doing good, however, gigs can be random. good luck in your future and what you choose to do.

hey rok!! congratulations :P you know not everyone is able to restructure their brain even after the pressure has been taken off. It amazes me how many people I know that worry about and stress about money "more than they have to"...which I know is totally and completely subjective.

Anyway, good job on enjoying some of your new found freedom! It brings up such a good question too...the question of what do we newly freer humans with with our good situation. What now?

create to pay it forward... :-)

I like it called bigger-than-head-sized bowl drinks :-)

the technical name on the menu was "Monsoon" size, though this was also accurate.

Congrats on getting out of the position that had you feeling tied down. Steemit is going to be a game changer for a lot of people and you're a prime example of that. Keep up the hard work otherwise I'll catch up :p. Honestly, though great job and I hope you enjoyed those super large drinks.

Shakes of wage slavery, love that line my man. And there is nothing wrong with a good old fashioned circle jerk when it's in good fun! I'm mean for Steemit. But seriously, there is going to continue to be a lot of hype posts as people continue to flood into the network. Glad to see you had a successful landing on the steemit rocket to the stars. We are passing the moon!

Amazing story. We love Steemit! Althought, I'm sure your tunes were pretty kick ass.

New follower here, @rok-sivante. Best Regards.

rok, I love it, such an inspiring post man, not everything that glitters is gold eh? Sometimes all it takes is breaking free from financial burdens to rediscover your passions. You think you will ever go back to DJ'ing on your own terms?

DJing, probably not. Producing, yes. :-)

Good for you, I wonder how many make a full time income from Steemit?

probably not that many. the early adopters who hustled hard were probably in the best position to create such an opportunity. however, it's still open-game - anyone who really hustles hard and puts in the work to create some high quality content consistently has just as equal an opportunity to earn themselves such at any point. as they say, the creme rises to the top...

I wish I heard of it early as well :)

relatively, it still is early...

You have a point there if you look from the perspective of a person in 2019.

I'm not sure what the figures are now, but last I heard a week or two ago, there was something like 15-20k users on Steemit. That's nothing.

I dunno if we can accurately make comparisons to other social media sites - and we might not foresee what other 'competition' to Steemit might pop up... but considering Reddit has like 234 million users, Facebook over a billion... Steemit could grow to a fraction of the size, and we'd still be among the first few now...

this is so so SO true.

What would be great is if they can make a version of Steemit that is like youtube that would be huge I think!

In some ways, it has all it needs already..Who cares if the video itself is streamed from youtube? But yeah, maybe it will get Married with Siacoin or Storj some day, and have a decentralized video streaming service.

I love this post you wrote ! Spot on, you own your life now!
Voted and followed you.

It's nice seeing someone having fun in such a classy way. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
