The 1st ever STEEM STAMP makes its cameo appearance at tomorrow's Steemit meetup in Bali
That's right folks. If you wanna get into to the party tomorrow your hand must be stamped with the Steemit Logo!

So today @jockey and I visited our local carver in Ubud who took the design of the Steemit logo on a sheet of A4 and tomorrow morning will carve it into a small wooden stamp 2 cms in diameter, which can be dipped in blue ink to stamp anywhere we like!
- body parts!
- business cards
- posters
- clothes
- public toilet walls!
Yeah, the list is pretty endless really.
This guy is a super talented carver who will create the wooden stamp for us in just a few hours... for the grand total of 35,000 IDR
...which is just $2.63!
I will do a follow up to this post on his amazing craftsmanship once we have the final product in our hands
...and on our hands!
It is our intention here at the Bali Steemit HQ to also make this product available to buy with Steem Dollars through the @steemshop account.

Is this a Nazi symbol?
No my friend. This is a Buddhist symbol. The Nazi symbol points in the opposite direction.
I was nervous there for a second! Good to know!
The Nazi symbol does not point in the opposite direction of the Swastika stamp,
they are both clockwise.
The only difference is that the Nazi symbol is rotated by 45 degrees compared to the Swastika,
which traditionally rests flat on one base of a hook.
The Swastika traces its origin back to Hinduism and Bali was able to stick to its Hindu religion after the arrival of Islam in Indonesia, that´s why you still find the Swastika all over Bali.
you´ll find that sign all over Bali. I was shocked as well as I saw it the first time. Its called Swastika.
This is something I would have never known if I wasn't on Steemit!
