Dark Energy, the Unstoppable force of Universe. How Everything will end!
What will be tomorrow? This is perhaps the most important question for all man kind. Everyone would like to look a couple years ahead into the future and see themselves. What their life would be like, but what if I suggest you to go to a very very very distant future. There are so many theories and thoughts about what will happen in a thousand years, in 100 000 years, in a million or even in one quintillion years, but what if we look further. Generally speaking, what will the world be like in God knows how many years. Let's fantasize, visualize and imagine this fascinating topic.
One Billion years from now... The Sun becomes Ten percent brighter. The average temperature of Earth's surface is now 47 degrees Celsius.
The seas and oceans are gradually evaporating and the atmosphere is saturated with water vapour, creating powerful greenhouse effect. Earth is no longer such an hospitable place in our solar system.
Three Billion and eight hundred million years from now...Andromeda is hurtling through space towards the Milky Way at a speed of four hundred thousand kilometers per Hour. (Andromeda is a spiral galaxy which is 2.5 million light-years away from Earth. Andromeda is nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way. Milky Way is a galaxy that contains our solar System). Yes, ANDROMEDA galaxy now is 2.5 million light-years from us, but after three billion and eight hundred million years, it will find a way to reach the point of contact and two monster galaxies will eventually merge. They will create a new combination of Mega Galaxy.
Five Billion years from now... Our Solar system will be located in the newly created Mega Galaxy. But it already will be to a point where it will be experiencing final stage of its existence. Our sun will reach the point of no return. It's radius will increase rapidly. It will become 200 times larger than it is now. All of the planets and their satellites in our solar system will be destroyed. Poor planets will be swallowed up by an ever expanding red dominant giant sun.
Twelve Billion years from now...Our Solar System in which life once thrived, now looks like a small dense white dwarf star which is gradually fading and cooling into the next stage of a cold and inactive black dwarf. There will be only the remains of once our proud sun and nothing else around. But soon even this nothing will disappear and the darkness will come.
One Hundred Billion years from now...The regular collection of galaxies known as the Virgo Super cluster will be nearly two hundred million light-years in diameter and will be comprised of hundreds small clusters and galaxy groups including our own. This enormous super cluster, at the time, will be grown so old that it will eventually begin to stabilize and converge into one super mega behemoth galaxy that will span hundreds of millions of light-years. This same lawlessness will be happening across the whole universe with all of the other super clusters as they will also begin to converge, but due to the accelerating effect of dark energy all of this will be happening very slowly. Relatively speaking, mega billions of light-years of the cosmic abyss still define the super clusters at that moment in time.
One Trillion years from now...The beginning of the End. Almost all of the existing galaxies will end up dying and unfortunately there will be no clouds of gas left which are necessary for the formation of new stars.
Two Trillion years from now...Dark energy will become ever faster and will dominate the expanses of our Universe as acceleration is accelerating. At that point, the size of an Universe will reach a truly monumental and mind-boggling scale. The acceleration will become so rapid that all objects that are beyond our or any local Super Cluster of galaxies will be no longer visible. If there are still surviving sentient beings in the universe at that point, they will no longer be able to obtain.
Twenty Trillion years from now...It will be the end of the sunsets. Even the longest live stars of our galaxy will extinguish. Red dwarfs pass on into oblivion. After these, there will be some small cold black dwarfs still left. But slowly the Amiga radiation will emanate from them. But, of course there will still be remaining the lords of nothingness-Black Holes. However, it will be growing darker and darker in our galaxy.
One Hundred Trillion years from now...This will be the end of Universe. The last normal star in the universe will cross over. Except for a neutron stars and the white brown and black dwarfs, there will be no more stars in the universe. Black Holes forever drifting across the unending darkness will eat the remnants of the planets.
Ten Hundred Trillion years from now...This will be the penultimate stage of existence. The only remaining energy in our universe will be generated due to the decay of protons and the annihilation of individual particles. All of the wondering planets and other bodies have either already broken down into elementary particles or have been swallowed by black holes. The Universe will be officially dying at that stage.
Ten to the hundredth power years from now...It is almost the end. The universe will already be expended to such an extent that no words are sufficient to describe the distances between the last surviving black holes and subatomic particles. And finally, the none existence will enter in the universe. The end, nothingness will dominate. Due to Hawking radiation, the last of black holes will be evaporated. There will be nothing more and even the nothing will be no more!
We were born from Darkness and we will be back to it!
Great article! Upvoting
nice article.. go go go <3
Impressive article. I'm also a fiction fan and I love those "how the future is gonna look" articles and stories. Keep me posted with your articles. Great job!
This is indeed one possible option for our future. Nice way to tell the story.
Note that dark energy does not really accelerate. An energy does not have the property of speed and acceleration.
Thanks for informing <3
Interesting concept of how to view the universe.
It is massive so we will never know everything in it or how it works.
NEVER EVER!
