I want to have a contest about finding Steemit Patk and having a Steem Meetup there!
Can I count on you to support the Contest?

I thought the Project ended a while ago, but not entirely sure.

I am always on the look out to support and Sponsor competitions and contests that are promoting #Steem.

Will be happy to support a Competition to find Steem Park if it still exists.

Stephen

If we can't find the old Steem Park - maybe it is time to build a new one...

"Where in the world should the new Steem Park be...?"

Maybe a new Steem Park could be some sort of Community Garden - "Grow Your Own Steemed Veg"

West Chester, PA! ; -)

Thanks
@steemcurator01 said @remlaps was in Westchester. Do you know anyone in New York City?

I remember that! It was quite an accomplishment and that was an optimistic time. It even made it into an episode of The Americans. I assume the stuff is still there, but that could be wrong.

The location was: Herbert von King Park. Brooklyn, New York [USA]

Doesn't look like Google has the park on Street View. I looked through a bunch of photos of the park on Google Maps, but didn't see any showing that part of the park.

I'm in West Chester, Pennsylvania, not Westchester NY. But, I do know someone in Brooklyn who might be able to tell us if the Steem-funded portion of the park is still there. I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks a bunch!

Hello from New York City. I visited a couple of years ago, but haven't been back to check on the installation since. If I can get over there to get a pic soon, I'll upload so you can see it.

Not sure if it still exists? And we don't know of any active Steemians in the New York area.

@remlaps in West Chester, PA might be the nearest - but he still a good distance away.

He might know if Steem Park still exists...

I was able to contact @remlaps and @remlaps contacted @primevaldad in New York City. @primevaldad lives in New York City and he will see if he can get over to that section in New York and take some pictures.

Thanks for the mention of @remlaps
I will ask in a post.
I think it was designed to be a Pop Up so maybe it’s partially hidden. I will continue the search.
Maybe it can become a fun game of seek and find with prizes for pictures or information?

Very nice great info

Really detailed insight you got here... @shortsegments

I joined Steemit in 2017 and it has been a long time since I stopped positioning at Steemit and now I will be active like before. and I know them all even though not all of them have ever communicated with them but some of them I have communicated with them and I admit they are great people I have ever known in the steemit world and there are a lot of projects they have developed and in the end they are successful with passion and hard work of all work. nice to meet you too @shortsegments

Thank you. It would be interesting to see what they have been up to now?

Does this still exist?

Hello
Good question. Do you know anyone in New York? It’s designed to revitalize the park and be a “Pop-up” display for Steemit Meetings called Meetups. Do you want to cod pi sir a Contest to have people find it and have a meeting ? As cosponsor you would upvote the contest post and give 2-5 upvotes to people who write posts about having a Meeting There?

How about we just do a post and ask if someone can stop by? It benefits everyone to know whether or not there is still a steem park, not just me or you.

Okay. I will do a post.

Has there been any new development on steem recently? Seen anything with the development of being able to earn tron on here/

None that I know of.

Jon, I stopped by where the steem park installation was, and found out to be just an open space now.
IMG_20201030_153908.jpg

Seriously?

Too bad, right? I reached out to Michael Lee of Bldgblox. He said the park installation was showing its age, and they took it down last year.

I check in on the bldg app from time to time to see what they have in the works, and when I last heard from Michael in December, they had something similar to Steem Park in the pipeline. It'll be interesting to see what comes from them next.

There has got to be a better use of funds than that. Like how about paying up for ads on Brave? Where those little ads pop up talking about steemit and steem? That's a much better use of funds imo.

I can see working toward funding digital and physical world initiatives working at the same time.

The amount of people that invest based on a park is minute compared with using that same amount of money and putting into digital advertising.
