ALIS - Japanese Reward-Based Platform For Quality Articles Inspired By STEEM!

in #steemit7 years ago

STEEM has proposed a unique concept of a reward-based social media platform in the cryptocurrency space. Our platform has inspired many other projects around the world - and one of them is ALIS.

ALIS is a new Japanese social media platform that aims to provide trustworthy information through high quality articles to the Japanese online audience.

Finding reliable information on the Internet isn't always easy, which is why ALIS aims to reward high quality articles and make it easier for people to find trustworthy information.

What is ALIS ?

ALIS is a Social Media Platform with Rewards System to distinguish trustworthy Articles.
The Japanese startup offers a reliable database of articles for easily accessible, trustworthy information.
Like mentioned above, the idea for ALIS was actually inspired by Steemit - and also since the team realized how difficult it was to find reliable online information in Japanese about ICO's and cryptocurrencies. There were only a lot of fishy and scammy sites.

That's why they have decided to create ALIS, a trustworthy source of information for the Japanese market where reliable authors can be rewarded with cryptocurrency tokens.

ALIS is a social media platform which provides our customers with reliable information from experts in no time. We were inspired by STEEM (https://steem.io) and their billions of evaluations to create a media platform specialized for the Japanese market. Our mission is to filter through the myriad of advertising and stealth marketing campaigns. Our goal is to provide more reliable information than traditional media outlets. Please read our whitepaper for further information.

How does ALIS work ?

Token holders will be able to use them to “Like/endorse/vote” on what they feel are high quality articles. In return, they will be rewarded for identifying quality information with various amounts of tokens, that depend on the contribution of each user. Whoever finds and votes for quality articles first gets rewarded more.
Of course the authors of high quality articles also get rewarded with ALIS tokens.
The system also takes care that the distribution of tokens will not be focused primarily on early users of the platform, but newcomers will also be rewarded appropriately as the user base is growing.

All articles will receive evaluations. Writers and evaluators of trust worthy articles will earn more ALIS tokens. ALIS token can be purchased and sold like Ethereum and STEEM.
The more ALIS evaluations one gets, the more tokens that will be distributed to contributors of ALIS. STEEM has already built a similar eco-system, and has gained billions of evaluations.

ALIS and STEEM

So ALIS was inspired by the idea behind STEEM and Steemit - but how do the two differ from each other?

STEEM clearly says that “anyone can earn rewards” on their platform. For ALIS, we think rewards are a key driver to help a platform grow. We enable people “To find trustworthy articles and people quickly” by using ALIS tokens. Our UVP is distinctly different which differentiates our service.

On the ALIS website, it is stated that they respect and admire the concept of STEEM and Steemit, but there are a few things they'd like to make differently. First of all, they're saying that the concept of three different currencies (STEEM, Steem Power and Steem Dollar) are too complicated, which is why there will only be one token on the ALIS platform.

Also, they are focusing primarily on the Japanese market.
Japan has become a major part of the cryptocurrency movement that happened throughout Asia this year. It has become a driving force for new innovations surrounding blockchain and cryptocurrency, and investors in Japan are spending billions to support the market.
Despite all this, finding reliable information about cryptocurrencies in Japanese is very hard, which is how the whole idea of ALIS got started.
That's why they want to support content in the Japanese language and focus primarily on their national community.

ALIS Roadmap and Tokensale

The ALIS project is currently in their tokensale, and still in a phase of development.
ALIS' ICO has started on September 1st and will end on September 29.
Users can invest with Ethereum, and there are different bonus rates for different weeks of the ICO.
There will be a maximum supply of 250,000,000 ALIS, and the ICO is capped at 125,000 ETH while the minimum funding goal is 11,666 ETH.
The first Betaversion will be released in April 2018, and the official release is set for October 2018.

Why not just doing a fork like https://golos.io/ and provide the Japanese community the best platform. By improving their blockchain, maybe steem could learn from it too. Everyone would win.

I am a Japanese, but I support Steemit.

We also do not plan to acquire ICO tokens fundamentally.

Because ALIS does not appear attractive.
According to the white paper at the moment, it is a system in which reward is hard to accumulate if it is not a large number of token holders, and its token holding amount is high for ordinary people to have a hurdle.

Also, Steemit is not the first system, is that one of the more disadvantageous factors? I believe.

Im not sure if rewarding only the first and second voter are enough, although it would combat the pile-on effect.

Will keep my eye on this thanks for sharing!

Very good information..

Interesting, but how do they evaluate the "trustworthiness" of an article? By how many votes it gets? Seems it would be only whales that would be considered trustworthy.
And 2018 October is really far off. Let's have the Zappl team translate their app into Japanese.
They do have a good point about the 3 currencies though.

Man, u always write about such interesting things. How do you learn about all this stuff I've never even heard of before lol.

You'd probably do well on this platform ;)

Good sharing , very useful article
Just keep up posting things like that :)

I think it is great and it looks like country like Japan are really into content creation and crypto currencies so I think it will be amazing to everyone there. 😉

Seems like a good project, we have to see what brings different from steemit, i like the design, maybe the platform will be more user-friendly. The thing is they only launching in april 2018 what gives alot of time to steemit to grow and improve.
Thanks for the info, good content as always

Yes, and I don't know how they will react to english content so I don't know if it's even opportunity for people who don't speak Japanese. But we'll see. It's still a very interesting project and it's amazing how they got inspired by steem!

Excelente articulo. Una nueva oportunidad, veremos si es posible la acogida de otros idiomas. Saludos
