How Did South Korea's Announcement Effect Steem?

Today Steem is down: $4.93 USD (-7.61%) and Steem Dollars SBD is down even bigger $6.03 USD (-12.25%) . Given that the price of SBD relative to do the dollar has gone down more than the price of Steem relative to the dollar the price of SBD to Steem is also down.

Ripple XRP has rallied from being down to $1.75 this morning to $2.10. This is likely do to the news that Ripple has partnered with MoneyGram. MoneyGram is a leading player in the remittance industry. This is a continued trend in Ripple being the currency of choice for the private finance sector.

Bitcoin is down $13,919.20 USD (-4.79%) and Ethereum is down $1,221.69 USD (-6.66%). Although there is downturn in Ethereum today--Ethereum has done really well in this past week. It is up about 20% for the week. I am not sure how scalable Ethereum is going to be in the long run.
