Am I the only one who thinks this is a rather sneaky and unnecessary move who's sole intention is to shaft those not paying attention? Just curious what the benefit is.

Many other dice games(especially those on EOS) require staking in order to get rewarded.
I don’t mind it but it’s definitely not needed and could hurt people not paying attention
