Happy Birthday to me as a steemian! Wow did the year fly!

Where did the time go?

Hard to believe a whole year has flown by and as I sit here trying to figure out everything that has happened in the year and I have to tell you I can't pin point just an item or two!!!

For me it has been a year of finding and making friends (very hard for me to trust humans) (yes I prefer the critters).

When I think of Steemit, I don't think of it as a money making location although I see many who are supporting themselves and their families, paying their rent, buying cars/buses, computers/laptops, paying for their education, buying land and a multitude of other things.

I am not knocking the money but it is not what drew me here nor the reason I have stayed.

IT'S THE PEOPLE!!!!

A few here know that I Moderate chatrooms for some of the YT creators that are here and assist them in keeping their chats "Family Friendly" (nice to have a place where their young kids can participate and not worry about language or innuendos that are not in keeping with the channel hosts wishes).

The two main channels I mod for many of you already know and they are @daddykirbs and @mericanhomestead and yes there are several others I mod for that have not really made the jump over here but I do have hopes that they will one day (this really is an awesome place).

Behind the scene here at mi casa has also been busy and ever changing and there are days when all I have is 5 minutes to jump on and try to upvote a few of the ones I see.

There literally are days when I have met myself going to bed for a 30 minute nap so I can get some rest.

What keeps me motivated is being able to read and following along the life journeys of so many of you here and seeing your growth on this platform as you go from the rep of 25 to becoming those often sought after titles of whales , orcas and dolphins.
I am an odd one when it comes to the reps and making those coveted ranks, I am thrilled for each of you but do not have the same desires (too many are hunted down and stalked to just get upvoted by them).

I thought about tagging a bunch of the ones I follow but you can just go to who I follow to see the list yourself...

And yes I am trying to stay on top of growing some food!
