🔕 When Was the Last Time You Checked Your Phone Without a Reason?
Be honest.
Have you ever unlocked your phone…
And then suddenly realized —
You didn’t actually come here to do anything?
No message.
No call.
No notification.
Still, you checked it.
Almost automatically.
As if your mind expected something to be there.
But why?
Is it habit?
Is it anxiety?
Is it the fear of missing out?
Or is it the discomfort of being alone with silence?
Sometimes, it’s not the notification that interrupts us…
It’s the possibility of one.
That tiny expectation —
That something might appear at any moment —
Quietly breaks our focus, our peace, even our presence.
And most of the time…
We don’t even notice it happening.
This subtle, everyday mental shift is what inspired me to start writing my first novel:
“Between Silence and Notification”
A story that explores:
#The urge to check
#The fear of missing out
#The emotional impact of digital interruptions
#And the silent tension between stillness and stimulation
Tell me in the comments:
👉 Have you ever checked your phone without knowing why?
👉 Do notifications control attention more than we realize?
👉 Is silence becoming uncomfortable for us?
Your thoughts might help shape this story in unexpected ways.
Let’s talk.
