I can't Believed that I'm back.
Hello, Steemit. If you don’t remember me, don't worry—I barely remember myself from a decade ago. Ten years. In internet years, that’s basically several geological eras. When I last posted here, we were probably still arguing about whether "The Dress" was blue or gold, and my biggest problem was finding a charger that didn't have a frayed cable.
So, where have I been? Well, I’ve spent the last decade perfecting a very specific, high-stakes craft: Surviving.
The Great Job Hunt: A Trilogy
I spent years in the trenches of the corporate world, specifically the BPO industry. If you’ve ever had a guy with a very polite "customer service voice" try to explain why your internet is down while he’s secretly on his fourth cup of coffee, that was probably me. I was the king of the headset, the master of the "Please hold while I check that for you" button.
I was grinding, building a career, and thinking, "Yeah, I've got this adulting thing figured out."
Then, the AI era arrived.
Suddenly, the work I spent years mastering could be done by a chatbot that doesn't need lunch breaks, doesn't get sleepy at 3:00 AM, and—most importantly—doesn't have a sarcastic sense of humor. I went from "Essential Employee" to "Replaced by an Algorithm" faster than you can say "ChatGPT."
The "New" Me (Now with 100% More Plastic and Bass)
So, here I am. Still looking for that next big "career move" (which currently involves me staring at job boards until my eyes glaze over), but I decided it was time to come back to where it all started.
What do I have to offer the Steemit community in 2026? Well, I’ve picked up a few weirdly specific skills while I was away:
I’m a 3D Printing Alchemist: I can turn expensive plastic filament into beautiful works of art, or more commonly, "spaghetti monsters" when the bed leveling is 0.01mm off.
I’m a DJ/Producer: I specialize in House and Deep House. Basically, I spend hours tweaking synth pads to make music that makes you feel like you’re in a very sophisticated elevator or a very chill beach club.
I’m a Professional Loser (in Gaming): Whether it’s Overwatch 2 or World of Tanks, I have a unique talent for being the guy who provides the "learning experience" for the opposing team.
I’m a Linux Tinkerer: I enjoy the pain of trying to make games run on lightweight Linux distros because apparently, I don't think life is hard enough already.
Why Am I Here?
I’m back because, despite the AI takeover, I’m pretty sure a robot can’t replicate the specific brand of chaos that lives in my brain. I’m here to share the projects, the music, the 3D prints that actually worked, and the hilarious failures of a guy trying to navigate a world that changed while he was busy working.
It’s been a long ten years. I’m older, slightly more cynical, definitely more caffeinated, but I’m ready to start posting again.
