SteemTShirt Contest - Create your own STEEM T-shirt!

in #steemitcontest6 years ago (edited)

Today I made my first STEEM T-shirt! Do you already have one? Nope? Let's play together again!

Create your own T-shirt, then post it on Steemit! Don't forget the tag: #steemtshirt

Use the STEEM or STEEMIT logos in your art!

Use your fantasy!

You can use any kind of handpainting techniques - acrylic fabric painting, silk painting, wax-batik, textile fibre pen, etc.

Write down step-by-step process!

If your T-shirt is ready, put it on, then ask your friend to take a photo of you. Selfie is also OK!

Only a real handpainted T-shirt is allowed, no Photoshop, no printing!

Link your post as a comment bellow!

The best posts will be rewarded! Reward pool depends on how much SBD this post will earn in one week!

Upvote and resteem is recommended but not obligatory!

I've pieced together a short tutorial as an easy way to create your own.

What do you need?

  • T-shirt
  • Cardboard template with STEEM-logo, you can easily make it by cutting with a paper-knife.
  • Another cardboard to insert between the two layer of the T-shirt - avoid the paint soak!
  • Fabric paints - i use Pentart
  • Brushes for acrylic, 4-6-10 sizes
  • Some water to wash the brushes
  • White fibre pen, thin - i use Centropen

Place the template on your T-shirt and draw the contures with white fibre pen

Paint the logo with white, which is a primer paint. Repeat it if needed. If you have a black T-shirt, you need at least 3 white layers before you use colors!

Yea this is an awesome challenge for sure. The logo on your shirt is very clean, nice job! I wish I had a Steem shirt. I’ll have some eventually I’m sure.

I would enter this contest, but all of my work is digital these days. However I will still tune in to see all of the awesome entries.

You can still try it! You can buy textile paint in every handcraft and hobby shop, and not expensive as well.

Wow, great shirt 👍👍👍

This looks like such a fun contest I wish I wasn't so busy this week. You can make a screen and screenprint it though? Just cut out paintings?

You are welcome! :)
My T-shirt is handpainted :) Print is not allowed :)
But there are many different fabric paints. I used acrylic based, but textile fibre pens, wax batik, etc. also OK!

EZ NAGYON JO OTLET ZSUZSI !!!
Es orulok hogy latlak !!! Te kekszemu ! :-)

Feltétlenül számítok rád! :)

This is really nice! I've been all week thinking about getting materias to learn painting on fabric, then I saw this...must be a sign! ;)

This is a sign of course! :) Handpainting is very personal and full of soul and love.

Great idea! Excellent work! Get to know each other in a t-shirt! I liked it! Bravo!

Yes, this is the easiest way to get know each other!

What a good idea, haven’t tried that but would love to experiment with it. How about the new logo. But anyway i still love the old logo.will try to comeup with sometjing

It's time to try it :)))

Great idea @kalemandra. Your t-shirt came out GREAT!

At the @gardenofeden we have painted dozens and dozens and dozens of hand-painted SteemGear - t-shirts, hats, skivvies, polos, shorts, swimwear, leggings.....and oh so much more! I love the hand-painted touch--so personal. Great choice for a challenge!

Wow a fun contest!
