🇺🇸 U.S. Crypto Regulation Hits a Roadblock

The U.S. crypto market is watching closely after the Senate failed to advance the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act on September 15, 2026.
The procedural vote ended 49–50, falling short of the 60 votes needed to move the legislation forward. The bill was designed to create clearer rules around digital assets and define regulatory responsibilities in the U.S. crypto market.
The setback has added to uncertainty for crypto businesses and investors. Reuters reported that Bitcoin and several crypto-related stocks fell following the vote.
However, the vote does not mean crypto regulation is finished. The legislation could potentially be reconsidered, while U.S. regulators continue using their existing authority.
