Notwithstanding the Periodic Table of Elements (kidding, just being an a**hole), good poem. The Four Elements ... great idea for a poem quartet.
Of all the things we take for grant it, surely the sun, and fire, have to rank near the top.
I think in truth, we take all 4 for granted -
We take the air we breathe for granted and continue to pollute it day and night.
We take our sacred water for granted - the water that we drink and bathe ourselves in - the waters that make up our very body - and we continue to dump our waste of poison into it.
Earth - I don't need to say much there hehe.
And as you say.. .we definitely take fire for granted.
That's why I always honor the 4 elements and give thanks for them during daily gratitude practices :)
