First of all a Gift is an item that is given or presented to someone willingly or by merrit..
Therefore gift giving is an act inwhich a person presents a gift to another person as an appropriation, willingly or by merrit.
Should it just be for a season in a year?
Gift giving or giving of gifts should not be subjected to a specific season in a year. There are somany opportunities that could warrant or lead to gift giving in a year. So it basically does not mean it should actually be for a specific season or time in a year.
Name other opportunities that one can exchange gift?
There are various reasons and events that could warrant gift giving.....

- Burials
