Splinterlands: Booked for SplinterFest
Flights are not cheap given the Summer demand and the lack of flights and staff so I watched very carefully for things to settle to grab a reservation as soon as possible. Flying was really the only option for me as I will likely be in a busy period at work so will be limited on the time off I can talk. However, I will be getting there a day before as I hope for other communities within Splinterlands like @peakmonsters and others could set get together up to finally meet each other.
Hotels are plenty in the area given that Las Vegas is the center of hotel rooms but I did not delay the reservation at the Luxor given that it is better to be walking distance from the event. The heat and price of transportation are crazy so better to be near it all. I have always wanted to stay there so looking forward to the event which is still under construction from what I hear. I am sure they will make it interesting but the last piece are tickets which should be available soon. Also, it doesn’t seem that there will be an issue to get them so that is good news.
This will be the first conference or event I go to where I meet others surrounding a decentralized project so it may be intimidating for me as I am somewhat of an introvert. However, experiencing the community for these years has demonstrated that they are all in it to create value and benefit the ecosystem so getting to meet like-minded people will be awesome. I hope to come away with some potential opportunities to partner and build things around the ecosystem as it continues to expand.
While details are still in the works (and could already be available when I post this), I am sure it will be a great experience to demonstrate the passion and dedication the community has around this project. We have been seeing it recently despite the challenging Crypto market as many third party sites have created great tools to support the community and ecosystem. This continued development shows the demand for the assets and the opportunity coming in the future as the ecosystem grows.
