Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

It has been a while since we were last here, but since today is not only Saturday — meaning Caturday, my favorite day of the week — but also Independence Day here in the USA, we thought we would come by for a quick hello!

What's going on outside?"

It is now fully summer in this part of the world, which means the Hoomans are working outside a lot more in their garden, and we are able to leave the windows open and the doors with screens open so that we can lie on the sunny spots and catch the breeze!

The cats are all doing well although we're a little bit on edge today because we've already heard a number of fireworks go off and loud explosions with no apparent source makes us a bit nervous.

Our Hoomans are very good about not going out and doing things on Independence Day and New Year's Eve, because they know we get nervous and scared when the fireworks go off.

Besides, I'm pretty sure they're not exactly "party people," which suits us cats just fine!

Still, if you are caretaker for cats and/or dogs, please remember that we are not as enthusiastic about fireworks and loud parties as you Hoomans!

If you can, please leave us with access to a safe spot — perhaps a bed in an open closet — if you do decide to go out and join the festivities. Perhaps leave on some music for us, to help muffle the sound!

Otherwise, we don't have much to share in the way of news. Time has been tight because the Hoomans are working a lot to make ends meet... so not as many cat blogs as we previously have had.

But that's OK... we'll be back as often as we can be!
