Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia! I hope this Sunday has treated you well!

Another rainy and blustery day here, but all are snug and warm inside!

Even cats need their greens sometimes!

There is an old piece of wisdom — usually attributed to Gandhi — that goes along the lines of "Be the change you wish to see in the world!"

I have visited Steemit quite often over the past couple of years and lamented that there seems to be very little pet related content in our community.

So I got to thinking that maybe just remarking on this and not doing anything about it is a but meaningless and even counterproductive... maybe what we need to do to get more cat and pet content here is actually to create more of it, and hope that others will see it and follow the example!

It's not as if we have a shortage of material, either — there are four cats in the house, and two Hoomans who are frequently exclaiming "Look how cute the cat is being!" and then taking photos.

You might wonder whether cat content is appropriate for a crypto site, but why not?

After all, cats are pretty much the unofficial mascots of the entire Internet, so why shouldn't they be represented on Steemit?

Naturally, getting more cat content to show up here is also going to be a matter of of more engagement with such content... so I guess that falls to me, as well; to find the content, and then to encourage more of it.

Sadly, I do not have enough of an upvote to make much difference in anyone's life, but I guess a little recognition is better than none at all!

So, maybe we'll start slowly... but hopefully we can make some sort of impact!
