DUST in the wind, All they are, are dust in the wind

This is the view from our bus on our way to work. Arab people usually call this phenomenon turab or sandstorm.

What causes the sandstorm?

Sandstorms,also called duststorms are caused by strong winds blowing over loose soil or sand.
The widespread abundance of loose sand in deserts makes them the most common locations for sandstorms to form. This phenonemenon is most common on Arab countries especially here in Saudi Arabia because it is known to be surrounded by deserts.

The weather is very gloomy. Car's headlights are open on a daylight because of the very low visibility on the road.

I have been living here for 5 years already and this one is the worst so far.

We need to wear mask on the way to work for protection from the dust that could trigger asthma attacks.

This welcomed us when we got home from work.

In the Philippines, we usually had thunderstorms which I am used to where we use to play in the rains. On the western part, They have snowstorms where they can build the snowman. So what do middle-east have? It's no fun at all. It affects our health and our daily routines.
