Awesome initiative! I'd like to make a honorary first suggestion to this underlooked gem

Right on! Following. I'm developing a "bad habit" of actually reading Steemit posts than actually writing them lately, doh!

That's great! Have you found any posts that you think should be featured tomorrow?

Ha! Dozens probably. You might block me for spamming ;)
Here, I'll start with one I have open now (I left for the Roswell Symphony Orchestra hours ago, btw)...
The Updated Steemit Etiquette Guide - New Additions and Your Help Needed

I thought that was a great post as well. I'll add it to my list of considerations for tomorrow's Steemplus paper.

So I ummm don't want to break the rules or anything, so I won't submit this correctly but just as an anonymous tip, you really might want to check out the Steemit Beginner's Guide posted by @mynomadicyear for your debut post, if you haven't already.
But you didn't hear it from me.

This is a great Idea, similar to project curie but with difference being that each weekly newspaper edition will generate the money to sponsor the author and those who scout the featured post.

If there's anyway I can help with this project let me know.

Thanks ballinconscious. Project Curie was the inspiration for this project. However, we don't have any big "whale accounts" to help us get started so every reSTEEM, share, upvote, and comment is much appreciated. The only thing we need help on right now is to shine some light on Steemplus, and more people to recommend quality posts.

Awesome, also this is only for post other peoples work, not my own, correct?

Good idea. Still trying to figure out how this works. Btw: If you like to have other sites help on this I run the dailysteemit.com and looking to use it . Kind of put it on the backburner. Let me know how I can help out!

It's simple. Steemplus is a newspaper that features high quality posts. If you bring me a quality post and I decide to feature it in the newspaper, I reward you with a portion the SBD earned from that newspaper. And the rest goes to the author who wrote the post. When I post tomorrow, it should all make sense.

And thanks for the offer! I can't seem to find dailysteemit.com... would you mind linking to it?

Ah got it :) cool idea.
Yes, http://thedailysteemit.com/ sorry that!

"To recommend a post, go to the comments section of the most recent Steemplus post and ..."
This is a smart way to go about it on your part, to reduce or eliminate multiple submissions of the same link. This could also prevent "dividing the bounty" amongst those who DO submit the same article, simply on a "who suggested it first" fair's fair basis.
"We will only be featuring content that was posted under 24 hours ago..."
This might need some definition as this plays out (I could be wrong too)... Les than 24 hours from the exact time of submission, or 8pm EST, for example? Great project, hope it takes off!

I appreciate your feedback. And I'll have to admit, the way I worded the timing can sound a bit complicated... I'll have to fix that. It's no post older than 24 hours ago from the time of your recommendation. (Does that make sense?) Agh, I'm confusing myself now haha.

Yessir that does clear it up, I was just being forward-thinking and thought maybe you should spell that out, to avoid confusion in the future. It seems one huge benefit of your approach is that the original authors will get paid, so maybe that 24-hours 8pm-8pm was your thinking. But glad to help.
