In Iksan City, the Old Capital of Baekje Dynasty

in #steempress5 years ago

I am looking around Iksan City after the business meeting in Kwangju City.

The reason why I dropped by Iksan city was looking around the stone tower of Mireuksa Temple’s ruined place. This temple had been built in the period of Baekje dynasty.

I had visited Mireuksa temple’s ruined place to see the stone pagoda several times before.

It was said that the repair work had been done several month ago.

I really want to see the repaired stone pagoda. In this visit, I had found some thing I didn’t notice before. In this post I’d like to introduce the the appearance of the pagoda. I will post more about this pagoda next time. Here are some photos.

I love such places very much. A place that stores the millennium. May such places be kept and never destroyed!

Wonderful to see that beautiful shots of that one nice

That pagoda is simply stunning. So rich with history, I can only imagine the stories it has to tell. Looking forward to more.... :)

It is very ancient temple so it was built with stone.!

The stone tower in Mireuksa temple place looks impressive. Obviously it is easy to see that those stones are newly erected. Interestingly one side is already ready but on the other still needs to accomplishment of upper four levels. Beautiful construction, I am glad that the historical places are treated with respect to history and heritage. Would be nice to see around that area too :)

High Tower's like this ,makes tourism an amazing thing to do .
Beauty at its taste.

Greetings @slowwalker, nim,

Such lovely photographs of this spectacular stonework.......thank you!

Wishing you and yours and your Mum all the best.

Cheers!

Thank you for the pictures!! I went over 150K to see this, but, it was in ruins and although it must have been very impressive at one time, the 30 meter stone pagodas were hidden behind a structure while being repaired.

I am happy to hear that they are complete! I look forward to the next part of this journey.
