SteemPro: Breaking my previous record on Steem Heights
Hello friends, I'm back again with another gameplay blog on Steem Heights from Steem Pro.
I see yesterday as testing phase, and today I played it more than 7 times just to master the controls, my hand eye coordination and my accuracy.
I said yesterday that Steem Heights is like Sky Tower but now I have to deny that claim. It may be similar but there are few differences after I got a little used to playing it and understanding the gaming dynamics.
There is wind speed changes in Steemit Heights. I don't know if it's just me or the game dynamics but it makes it even more unpredictable than Sky Tower but it's very fun.
With my first try today, I got to 55m altitude which was 2m less than yesterday's try which was 57. You can check the previous blog to see it. But I wasn't going to settle for that so I played again.
My second attempt was no better, in fact it was way worse because I had 34m altitude but I knew it was just practice and learning. I decided to play it again.
My third attempt got me to 51m, better than the previous but still not good enough because I had not reached or broken yesterday's score of 57m.
I tried it the fourth time and that's when I broke yesterday's record because I got 59m, 8 combos and a bonus of +16m. I was so happy but I didn't like the fact that it was still too close to yesterday. I wanted to really improve on the game because with that achievement it was still nowhere near my next target of beating @thhridoy who has 122m.
So I played over and over again. I went all the way up to 68m twice but still didn't like the score so I kept trying and every time I tried it, I got better at understanding how to play it. My skills really improved.
I did it until I crossed the 70 mark which as my highest score for today, I'm ok with. Tomorrow I intend to break that and at least get to 122m.
Overall it's a really fun game but I have to admit you get pretty frustrated when you're so close and you miss. I guess that's what makes it a cool tournament. Those guys up there must have been playing for a while to be this good at getting high numbers like that. I know it's a matter of time. It was the same situation with Sky Tower and now I'm 3rd place there, I know I can get this target.
