AC/DC Coins Come on hard rock fans !
Amidst all the Disney and Startrek coins you never know what to expect next. And surprise surprise here they are Cook Island coins of AC/DC.
Althought the rock band AC/DC is still active and very popular this Australian band started already when I was young in the mid seventies. I had their AC/DC sign on my school agenda and schoolbag. Yeah I was so rock and roll at the time....
One member lives here in the Netherlands - love made him do it - and one member deceased recently. The coins will make them immortal a little as the coins will hopefully last long time.
With mintage 1000 (2 Oz) and 5000 (half ounce coloured) and prices 200 USD resp. 60 USD they do not come cheap.
But it remembers me of the good ole days, that's for sure.
