Another reason not too get modern bullion coins graded?
So I have been talking a long time on youtube how I don’t like to grade or buy graded modern day Bullion coins. Below is a coin that a friend from youtube who sent me this picture of a coin that was graded by NGC.
I did a post last week and that had an example of a problem that many people are having with these Rwanda lunar coins.
This picture really does doesn’t do this justice for all the problems coin has. But if you look to the right of the reverse you can see what appears to be white spots and maybe some scratches..
This coin was sent back to where it was bought. But NGC either really screwed up, didn’t look at the coin or just started spotting with this milky residue after the coin was slabbed. Either one is bad.
What do you all think about graded bullion coins and these Rwanda Lunar coins?

@silverwolverine I have graded coins from both NGC and PCGS. I am not against grading but I do know that with moderns it is a matter of to many coins getting graded as FAST as possible and a lot of mistakes like this are being made.
Hey speaking of being fast. I think you were first :)
sweet i got you signed up with @steembasicincome so they will upvote all your posts for ever hopefully! its only a few cents right now but it all helps :)
Really I never heard of that. Let me take a look. Thank you Owen..
I am not a fan of grading bullion as this kinda makes a mockery of having slabbed coins, as for the milk spots and scratches, I think someone made a boo boo and just slapped a ms 70 sticker on it and hope no one noticed
I agree with you. I have a collection of American Modern Commemoratives, all graded MS70 or PR70 by PCGS. I am short of about 10 coins to have it completed. In all the years that it took to build this collection I had never heard of milk spots. Now I am simply stacking silver and that expression appears all the time. Could be that NGC or PCGS don't care about bullion , only to numismastic coins ?
Yeah, I don’t know. Something went wrong....
Well it is a coin. Just a Bullion coin. But you might be right about that sticker...
I am not grading any of my coins, I'll let my kids pay for that when I'm gone :):):) But seriously I think the issue is larger than that, meaning that grading coins has been getting popular and I'm sure the pool of talent to properly grade these coins is getting thin. Just my 2 cents ;)
