Congratulations, man. That's a big step. I still remember the first time I went in to buy silver on my own. I had no clue what I was doing. Fortunately, it was a chain store, the prices were fixed, and the guy was super helpful/nice. He helped explain a few of the finer points of buying silver, what to look for, and all that. If I had gone into a pawn shop, I could have gotten taken for a ride. That's awesome you've had your dad show you the ropes and now you can do it on your own. :)
